Dental Dreams

I had my first dentist appointment in about five years yesterday. I told them it had only been two-and-a-half because it's not like I wasn't feeling guilty enough.

The dentist is completely not what I remember. They took my x-rays and my x-rays immediately showed up on a computer screen. No waiting. They also took photos of a snagged filling and of a gumline that needs repaired -- took photos with a tiny little camera and put them right on the computer! The wonders of modern technology. It's not often I get to look at a screen and see my teeth and facial piercings staring right back at me. I might ask them if I can have a digital copy to post. Very neat.

I'm not excited about this, but I do have to go back tomorrow and have some work done. Then, I should be good to go. And since these people were friendly, pleasant, and seemed to know their stuff -- my last dentist watched a lot of teevee, while working -- I'm going to keep-up with that whole every-six-months thing. One of the benefits of full-time employment is dental insurance.

Not much else is going on right now. I'm hoping to get to see the Grandmother next week, but it's still up in the air for the moment. Today, I'm going to organize the craft room and practice putting on smokey eye makeup.
