They lied.
I've been told that I have a misplaced sense of trust. This would be one of the situations that proves it. Even if everything ends up being fine in the end, my cataloger -- an amazing professional, if I do say so myself -- will be forever traumatized by the event.
I also had lunch with Lulalu at the Paw Paw Patch. Tasty southern cooking and good company.
Managed to get most everything I need for the start of the school year at Costco.
And spend the evening crafting and drinking wine. I did suffer an injury -- I cut myself with scissors. As in, I snipped my own flesh with the tips of the scissors. Before we opened the wine. I am not brilliant. My crafting partner kept gluing herself with hot glue. At the end of the evening, I had this:
It's an earring frame for one of my buddies. It was super easy to put together. the hardest part was finding a deep enough frame. There happened to be a few on clearance, so I lucked-out. So, I painted the frame with a thin coat of red paint. Then, I cut some plastic canvass and hot-glued it into the back of the frame. Then, I attached a piece of craft foam with Velcro. Why Velcro? Well, because that way, the recipient can attach stud-style earrings AND if anything happens to fall into the space between the frame back and the canvass, there's an easy way to get it out.
I have an extra frame. Does anybody want one of these?
