Rolled over enough miles to hit a zip code that is near and dear to my heart. Luckily, I was at a gas station when I noticed it. No, I did not take this photo while driving.

Clue was a total success. We also had a more traditional, travel-themed show. New venue, so not as successful, but still a great time. We have TWO shows in October. TWO more chances this season to catch some burlesque...

Cleaned my desk and immediately put my feet on it.

I do not recognize myself in this photo:
We had a half-dozen or so of these guys in our driveway one day. It's hard to tell just how big they are until you realize that they're on a standard-size chain-link fence.
This is the best shot. It's also the mantis who decided my sleeves were extra fancy -- like ketchup -- and flew to me to crawl in my shirt. I got the shirt off without crushing him, only to have him get stuck in my hair. We both made it out alive, but traumatized.
It's spider lily season!

And a quick history break: Union soldiers who died in the civil war have headstones that are rounded. Rebel soldiers have headstones that are pointy, like this:

Why? So that the Yankees can't sit on them.
A friend has an incredibly talented cat. His name is Simon and he's really, really easy-going.
We had to get a new fire pit. In order to break it in, we had some folks over to roast marshmallows. The photos are all night shots, but some were fun. Like this one, where you can see Pippin sitting all still like and Speedy, well, not.
The gang:
Beards and fire and marshmallows. I'm shocked the evening wasn't more dramatic.
The young man who was hanging out with us took the following two photos. I'm conflicted about which one I like better, but I think they are two of the best photos ever of C and I.
The aunt and uncle from Oregon stopped by on their way to Florida. Nice visit, wish I would have had more time.
I must have been a good girl. C gave me a mug with a Victorian lady on it. When I put hot tea in it, she goes skeletal.

In Playboy, about librarians:

And I'm emotionally attached to these fonts for some reason:

That's it. :) Quick and dirty, but it's all I've got. Love you all.
