Summer, In Short

Long time, no anything, huh?

We had some weather and I haven't been able to manage communication. It's just not in me. I want to say all sorts of evil things about wind and houses and neighborhoods and insurance companies. Yes. Insurance companies.

So, I'm going to gloss-over the whole tornado thing and focus on the awesomeness that happened this summer.

With photos.

We went to the McWane Science Center. It was loaded with children. Loaded. We still had a good time.

And C's parents got a golf cart to move about the homestead. He couldn't help feeling like Hunter S. Thompson.

We took a quick trip to Ohio to see my parents.

This place had Italian, too, but it wouldn't fit on the sign.

We stopped by Mohican State Park on our way to Holmes County.

And we visited with the Grandma several times. When she saw me, she said, "I'm not going anywhere with you!" But when she saw C, she lit-up.

We talked Dad into returning to the park with us for hiking. Lots of hiking. More than five miles. That's not a lot to less casual hikers, but, well, we are very casual hikers.

The big waterfall at the park:

Lunch?

And the trees might have been ents.

This was the little waterfall.

And Marion, OH has the coolest cemetery EVER.

He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders.

And, yes, the insurance is paid up.

That's what I've got. Maybe more later, if I can manage the correct headspace.

There's more to write about. I think we have kittens.
